The music in the piano stool. That vase.

One gets to know the geography of Brookner's flat. One recognises a mirror here,
a predilection for peace lilies (?) there,

and striped upholstery.
Her walls were adorned with, among other things, original sketches by Edward Lear. But it's books, of course, that really furnish a room. One would like clearer pictures of those shelves.
The most one can reasonably make out are the spines of a number of Oxford World's Classics. But which ones?
