Photo Session #3

It's easy to mistake the following Jerry Bauer late 90s/early 2000s session for the Karen Robinson set from the same period. Bauer, a veteran photographer of Brookner, achieves in his session two contrasting moods, severe and benign, making the images usable in different contexts. Editors tended to use the more austere images to illustrate interviews with the author or reviews of her novels, whereas the friendlier photos accompanied lighter items or pieces relating to Brookner's life as an art historian.
